FANNY BAY OYSTER BAR & SHELLFISH MARKET MARKS 10 YEARS WITH CITYWIDE SCAVENGER HUNT ACROSS VANCOUVER
Vancouver, BC — June 2026 — Fanny Bay Oyster Bar & Shellfish Market is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a week-long citywide scavenger hunt running June 22 to June 28, giving guests the chance to win its signature Salish Sea Platter.
The $120 platter showcases the best of the Pacific Northwest with a dozen oysters, cold cracked crab, geoduck sashimi, kelp noodle salad, and smoked mussels.
To mark the milestone, Fanny Bay will release a daily clue on its Instagram account (@fannybayoysters) around 3pm daily leading participants to a hidden “Fanny Pack” somewhere in Vancouver. Each pack will contain a golden oyster shell and a customized letter to claim the prize...oh and did we mention you get to keep the fanny pack? There will be one "Fanny Pack" hidden daily across the week, so you have seven chances to win their signature seafood platter!
In addition to the anniversary activation, guests can expect extended hours on game days along with FIFA drink and food specials running throughout the celebration period.
As part of the Taylor Shellfish family of Farms, Fanny Bay represents a legacy of shellfish farming rooted in the Pacific Northwest and built on generations of expertise and sustainable aquaculture. The Vancouver location has spent the past decade championing farm-direct, traceable seafood while introducing guests to the best of British Columbia’s coastal waters.
At the helm of the brand is fifth-generation oyster farmer Malindi Taylor. “Reaching our 10-year milestone in Vancouver is incredibly meaningful for us. Fanny Bay has always been about sharing the story of our oysters, from the waters they’re raised in to the people who enjoy them. This celebration is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us, and inviting guests to experience a bit of the fun, discovery, and adventure behind what we do every day.”
What began as a commitment to bringing high-quality shellfish to Vancouver has evolved into a community-driven seafood destination and one of the city’s most recognizable oyster bars.
